<p>PLEASE POST PLEASE POST</p> <p>PULASKI COUNTY SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT</p> <p>CERTIFIED POSITION AVAILABLE</p> <p>April 24, 2025</p> <p>POSITION TITLE: HEALTH SCIENCE - INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHCARE CLASSROOM TEACHER</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>For candidates applying under the Technical Permit 611 or 615 issued by the AR Department of Education: Must hold a current professional medical license, registration and/or certification that reflects college credit in a clinical specialty area</p> <p>For candidates applying under the Technical Permit 625 issued by the AR Department of Education, one of the following is required: Licensed Athletic Trainer; Licensed Physical Therapist; Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant or a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology/Science</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal</p> <p>JOB GOALS: Implement the educational program for students.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Diagnose the achievement level of each student. </li><li>Plan, prescribe and direct the learning activities of students. </li><li>Motivate students to learn. </li><li>Create and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning in both the appearance of the instructional station and the activities therein. </li><li>Evaluate progress of students and inform students thereof on a continuous basis. </li><li>Assist with the counseling of students for their academic, personal, social and career improvement. </li><li>Implement school or district curricular goals. </li><li>Ensure that substitutes will have all information necessary for effective instruction. </li><li>Prepare and follow effective lesson plans. </li><li>Assist in the development of school and district curriculums. </li><li>Assist in assessing school and district needs for instructional materials and equipment. </li><li>Prepare for principal, lists of material and equipment needs for instructional assignment. </li><li>Inform students of school or district regulations that are pertinent to them. </li><li>Confer with parents on students progress and attitudes. </li><li>Supervise students in corridors, in rest rooms, in lunchrooms, on school grounds, etc. in accordance with Board policy. Such supervision that is on an assigned basis should be equitably distributed. </li><li>Assist in the enforcement of school regulations at all times. </li><li>Participate in all prescribed in-service programs. </li><li>Maintain, and make reports on necessary records for pupil accounting, pupil progress, material and equipment inventories, collection of money, etc. </li><li>Check attendance and report absences and tardies. </li><li>Sponsor clubs and activities on an equitable basis. </li><li>Take responsibility for issued materials and equipment. </li><li>Know Board of Education policies, district and school guidelines/regulations and adhere to same. </li><li>Attend faculty meetings. </li><li>Participate in professional activities that are related to subject area assignment. </li><li>Keep informed of latest curriculum developments. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule.
