<p>Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector for a long-term role with plastics manufacturing company located in Tigard, OR. The Level III Mechanical Quality Inspector is a senior technical and leadership role responsible for advanced inspection, GD&T interpretation, quality system compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position ensures product conformity to engineering and customer requirements while supporting and strengthening the organization's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).</p> <p>Pay: $27+</p> <p>Mechanical Quality Inspector Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform complex first article (FAIR), in-process, final, and receiving inspections on machined and fabricated components.</p> </li><li> <p>Interpret and validate compliance to complex engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Apply advanced GD&T principles to verify form, fit, and function of precision components.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect complex geometries using advanced metrology methods including CMM and FARO programming and execution.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop inspection strategies for tight tolerance and high-risk features.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform and support weld inspections (AWS) and specialized inspections where applicable.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and redline drawings and travelers to ensure clarity and manufacturability.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead and participate in internal audits, ensuring process adherence and identifying gaps.</p> </li><li> <p>Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and root cause analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and improve inspection records, FAIR documentation, and traceability systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the creation and revision of Work Instructions (WI) and Operational Method Sheets (OMS).</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a Level II Trainer, mentoring and developing Level I and II inspectors.</p> </li></ul> <p>Mechanical Quality Inspector Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree preferred</p> </li><li> <p>5-8+ years of mechanical inspection experience in machining and/or fabrication environments</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in all hand measuring tools:</p> </li><li> <p>Calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, bore gages</p> </li><li> <p>Strong drawing interpretation and inspection execution</p> </li><li> <p>FAIR inspection and reporting experience</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of RMA processes, traceability, and part marking</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with:</p> </li><li> <p>Optical comparator (operation & programming)</p> </li><li> <p>CMM/FARO operation</p> </li><li> <p>In-process, receiving, and production inspection</p> </li><li> <p>Intermediate GD&T (demonstrated)</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced GD&T (Demonstrated Skills)</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced CMM/FARO Programming and inspection strategy development</p> </li><li> <p>Internal auditing experience (ISO 9001)</p> </li><li> <p>Calibration and traceability ownership/support</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li> <p>$27/hr+</p> </li><li> <p>Medical</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Sick Leave</p> </li><li> <p>401K with Match</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Holidays</p> </li></ul>
