<p>Perform lab draws, EKGs. Take vital signs, place patients on monitors. Transport patients throughout the hospital.</p> <p>Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources.</p> <p>Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to receiving medical facility.</p> <p>Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives.</p> <p>Maintains equipment, restocks supplies and cleans ambulance as necessary.</p> <p>Interviews patients and/or caregivers to collect information regarding current home medications</p> <p>Utilizes appropriate equipment/accessories to collect information from outside sources (physician offices, retail pharmacies, family members) regarding home medications.</p> <p>Contacts and communicates with other care providers (pharmacists, nurses, physicians, etc.) to facilitate the processing of home medication information.</p> <p>Minimum Education</p> <p>High School diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited paramedic education program.</p> <p>Minimum Work Experience</p> <p>Minimum of two (2) years of field experience preferred.</p> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
