<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Candidate must hold a current MA RN license and BLS certification. </li><li>Candidate must be able to work autonomously in a fast paced work environment and be able to prioritize/triage. </li><li>Candidate must understand the stages and processes of child development. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Intervene to promote, maintain or restore health and prevent illness.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide first aid and emergency support and treatment to injured students and refer to PCP or emergency services when indicated.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess student illness, apply the appropriate nursing intervention and refer to PCP or Emergency services if indicated.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide staff with initial first aid due to injury on school grounds and refer to PCP or emergency services.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to emergencies in the building, triage and activate EMS.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and complete MDPH mandated screenings: vision, hearing, BMI, scoliosis and SBIRT.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for completing and submitting MDPH Immunization Compliance survey, Asthma and Diabetes Survey.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for administering prescribed daily, PRN and OTC medications and prescribed physician ordered medical care to students.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for developing and maintaining student Individual Healthcare Plans, Emergency Action plans and Medication Administration Plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with other health care providers, educational staff, parents and students.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>START DATE: To Be Determined</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal and/or other Supervisor</p> <p>SALARY: In accordance teachers' contract.</p> <p>Central Berkshire Regional School District, in accordance with its non-discrimination and zero tolerance policy, does not discriminate in its programs, activities, facilities, employment, or educational opportunities on the basis of race, color, age, disability, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, veteran status, or gender identity and does not tolerate any form of discrimination, intimidation, threat, coercion and/or harassment that insults the dignity of others by interfering with their freedom to learn and work.
