<p>ABOUT THE ROLE</p> <p>The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic and pneumatic instruments essential to plant operations. This role ensures equipment runs safely and efficiently, interprets technical diagrams, maintains accurate records, and supports inventory management and technician training. This procedure pertains to all OK paperboard personnel performing Instrumentation Technician functions.</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING</p> <ul> <li>To ensure precision and functionality of instruments vital for smooth operations of machinery and processes. </li><li>Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various electronic and pneumatic instruments and control systems. </li><li>Testing and calibrating instruments to ensure they perform at their optimal capacity. </li><li>Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and operation of equipment. </li><li>Installing new instrumentation and control systems as per specifications and safety guidelines. </li><li>Working closely with other technical personnel to resolve any equipment issues or breakdowns. </li><li>Following safety procedures and regulations while performing all tasks. </li><li>Documenting all maintenance, repair, and testing activities for future reference and auditing. </li><li>Providing training and guidance to less experienced technicians. </li><li>Ordering and managing inventory of instruments, parts, and equipment. </li></ul> <p>WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in instrumentation, electronics, or related field preferred </li><li>2+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation maintenance and repair </li><li>Strong understanding of electronic and pneumatic control systems </li><li>Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics </li><li>Proficient in the use of testing and calibration tools </li><li>Familiarity with safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures </li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills </li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams </li><li>Forklift operation experience and adherence to seat belt safety guidelines </li><li>Ability to train and mentor less experienced technicians </li><li>Understanding of PLCs </li></ul> <p>Safety/Personal Protective Equipment</p> <ul> <li>Safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and gloves (Except around nip points) </li><li>No rings, necklaces (chains), watches or bracelets. </li><li>No loose clothing. </li><li>Always wear a seat belt when operating a fork truck. </li><li>Using proper lockout tagout procedures is always required. </li><li>Be aware of not only yours, but also your coworker's surroundings. </li></ul> <p>WHAT WE OFFER</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Compensation </li><li>Retirement Savings </li><li>Medical, Dental, Disability and Life Insurance Coverage </li><li>Holistic Health & Well-Being Programs </li><li>Health Savings Accounts (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for </li><li>Health and Dependent Care </li><li>Vision and other Voluntary Benefits and Discounts </li><li>Paid Time Off and Holidays </li><li>Paid Parental Leave (Maternity and Paternity) </li><li>Educational Assistance Program </li></ul> <p>YOUR HOLCIM EXPERIENCE</p> <p>At Holcim, there is endless opportunity for you to play your part.
