You may meet this requirement if you have experience and/or training to perform at the following wage grade level: WG-2: Follow oral or written instructions and/or work orders; and performing janitorial/custodial work, including mopping, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning walls, ceilings, and room partitions; emptying trash receptacles; performing cleanup of spills, debris, and litter from common areas; and removing soiled and/or contaminated items following strict procedures to prevent cross contamination. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
