<p>Job Description</p> <p>MISSION:</p> <p>To assemble complex segmented patterns in a dimensionally controlled fixture in preparation for the gating process.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p> <ol> <li>Preparation </li></ol> <p>Objective: to inspect pattern components and dimensional fixture prior to loading.</p> <p>Typical Activities:</p> <p>A. Pre-inspects pattern and dimensional fixture prior to start of assembly.</p> <p>B. Reads and follows technique card assembly instructions, which describe numerous unique assembly steps of a complex nature; plans the methods for completing a given assignment and selects among alternative assembly methods.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Assembly </li></ol> <p>Objective: to accurately assemble complex multi-component patterns to maintain dimensional integrity.</p> <p>Typical Activities:</p> <p>A. Assembles complex multi-component patterns by means of torch, hot pencils, and a variety of hand tools.</p> <p>B. Assembles complex patterns using full-time dimensional fixturing to maintain dimensional control and stability.</p> <p>C. Manipulates fixture/pattern components to remove configuration discrepancies and verify dimensional integrity.</p> <p>D. Possibly develops code sheets for engineering-requested modifications or deviations to standard assemblies.</p> <p>E.
