<p>Apply</p> <p>Description</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Coordinates in-person and online library services that enhance student academic success</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Plans and manages the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the University Library </li><li>Oversees library collection development, resource sharing and technical services areas, as well as special collections </li><li>Engages actively with students, faculty, and staff in the utilization of print and digital learning materials </li><li>Collaborates with the Academic Success Center, regarding shared services for student success (Examples include but not limited to: Test proctoring, scheduling, front desk support, TrackCloud management) </li><li>Manages and evaluates all library subscriptions and online database agreements </li><li>Manages circulation desk functions, including interlibrary loans </li><li>Orders and catalogs materials in a manner which conforms to conventional standards for academic libraries </li><li>Oversees the multiple technology/software systems that provide information and allow for accurate retrieval and availability of materials </li><li>Maintains accurate records and provide statistics and reports to federal, state, and local library agencies and the general interested public </li><li>Prepares a budget based on the needs of the total library in collaboration with the academic departments </li><li>Maintains physical upkeep and condition of the library facility </li><li>Promotes and integrates the Franciscan values of community, learning, reverence, and service </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Stays current with higher education best practices </li><li>Supervises work study students </li><li>Schedules and provides library instruction to classes when requested by faculty members or on an individual basis </li><li>Performs other duties as may be required to enhance student success </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in a relevant discipline. </li><li>Professional experience; budgetary experience; familiarity with library systems; high level of technological proficiency. </li><li>Knowledge of OPAL, OhioLINK and OCLC services or comparable systems is desirable. </li></ul>
