<p>Pilot Plant Worker</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The pilot plant operator will support the manufacturing process in a clean room environment dedicated to producing dog and cat food and treats. The role involves significant cleaning and sanitizing of various surfaces and equipment, along with basic lab sampling and data recording. Operators will assist advanced compounders, mix cleaning solutions, sanitize machines, and handle various raw materials and ingredients.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist advanced compounder operators with daily operations. </li><li>Mix and sanitize machines between production runs. </li><li>Handle and process raw materials and ingredients such as whey, protein, corn, flour, liver, chicken, and beef scrap. </li><li>Perform weighing and recording of sample data. </li><li>Receive and record inbound materials using a computer in the Dry Ingredients area. </li><li>Operate a forklift to move incoming pallets, with training provided. </li><li>Transport samples between the production area and the Analytical Lab. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in production and manufacturing environments. </li><li>Skill in mixing and blending operations. </li><li>Experience with machine operation and quality control. </li><li>Knowledge of sanitation practices. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in warehouse management and receiving. </li><li>Ability to work with dry ingredients and materials. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The facility operates Monday through Friday on the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The manufacturing environment is clean but requires extensive cleaning and sanitizing. Employees will occasionally work in areas with strong smells from food production and in a freezer handling raw animal products.
