<p>POSITION: Cook</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: St. Joseph County Community Corrections</p> <p>WORK SCHEDULE: M-T 5am-1pm rotating weekends</p> <p>SALARY: $17.50hr</p> <p>STATUS: Full time</p> <p>FLSA STATUS: nonexempt</p> <p>DATES: OPTIONAL: open until date closed/filled</p> <p>To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (ServSafe preferred certification). Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.</p> <p>Education/Experience</p> <p>High school diploma or GED preferred.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the entire shift.</p> <p>Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.</p> <p>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including bulk food supplies and kitchen equipment.</p> <p>Ability to work in a hot and humid environment, with exposure to kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and steamers.</p>
