The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and will play a key role in the coordination and delivery of high-quality care across a variety of patient environments-including the emergency department, ICU, OR, and inpatient units.</p> <p>This position reports administratively to the Practice Manager/Director and clinically to the Practice Site Physician or their designee. You'll work as a collaborative partner in trauma care, surgical support, and multidisciplinary care coordination while helping educate students and residents.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Clinical Care Delivery</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations. </li><li>Develop differential diagnoses and treatment plans based on clinical data. </li><li>Perform procedures such as central and arterial line insertions, chest tube placements, and wound suturing. </li><li>Provide surgical first-assist duties in trauma and emergency general surgery cases. </li><li>Manage pre- and post-operative care and follow-up in trauma clinic. </li><li>Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics. </li><li>Respond to trauma activations and assist in critical resuscitation efforts. </li></ul> <p>Care Coordination & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams across ED, ICU, OR, and inpatient floors. </li><li>Serve as a clinical resource for nursing and ancillary staff. </li><li>Triage patient calls and provide clinical consultations as needed. </li><li>Facilitate referrals and collaborate with other specialties to optimize care. </li></ul> <p>Education & Administration</p> <ul> <li>Mentor and teach nursing students, residents, and other pre-professionals. </li><li>Support BMG programs through education, outreach, and data management. </li><li>Participate in health education initiatives and interdisciplinary care planning. </li><li>Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in the medical record. </li></ul> <p>Quality & Process Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the development and evaluation of clinical protocols and quality initiatives. </li><li>Participate in performance improvement and patient safety programs. </li><li>Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and licensing requirements. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Licensure</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant Studies required. </li><li>National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. </li><li>Eligible for licensure in the State of Indiana. </li><li>Prescriptive authority or eligible within six months of hire. </li><li>Current BCLS (CPR) required; ACLS/PALS preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum two years of relevant clinical experience preferred. </li><li>New graduates with comparable clinical rotations and strong references will be considered. </li><li>Experience in trauma, critical care, or emergency surgery is highly desirable. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Strong clinical reasoning, procedural skills, and decision-making ability. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure, team-based environments. </li><li>Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning. </li><li>Bilingual abilities are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Beacon?</p> <p>The Beacon Way:</p> <ul> <li>Leverage innovation everywhere </li><li>Cultivate human talent </li><li>Embrace performance improvement </li><li>Build greatness through accountability </li><li>Use information to improve and advance </li><li>Communicate clearly and continuously </li></ul> <p>We offer competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and a culture of excellence rooted in respect and collaboration.
