<p>Position Summary</p> <p>WSH Management is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Corporate Team in Irvine, CA.</p> <p>Reports to: Controller</p> <p>Who we are:</p> <p>With over 20 years of experience in property management. Our headquarters are located in Irvine, California and we have quality living apartments for both affordable and market-rate seniors and families.</p> <p>What we Offer:</p> <ul> <li>$28 to $30 per hour, commensurate on experience. </li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision. </li><li>Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay. </li><li>401K with match </li></ul> <p>About the role:</p> <p>The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the payables functions. This generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking and recording purchase orders, and processing payments and a variety of other tasks.</p> <ul> <li>Perform data entry for accounts payable in accounting software as needed (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks). </li><li>Respond to and resolve vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner. </li><li>Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are properly recorded and paid. </li><li>Verify accuracy of invoice coding to appropriate GL accounts and property allocations. </li><li>Prepare and distribute weekly A/P aging and available cash reports for the Controller. </li><li>Provide administrative support including updates to policies and procedures, filing, correspondence, and maintenance of W-9 and credit application files. </li><li>Maintain organized payable records by boxing and archiving prior year documents and setting up current year files. </li><li>Monitor invoice approval workflows to ensure timely compliance by Resident and Regional Managers. </li><li>Maintain organized payable records by boxing and archiving prior year documents and setting up current year files. </li><li>Monitor invoice approval workflows to ensure timely compliance by Resident and Regional Managers. </li><li>Aid in year-end tasks including preparation and distribution of 1099 forms. </li><li>Assist with special projects and perform additional tasks as needed to support departmental goals. </li><li>Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned to meet evolving organizational needs </li><li>Download and record loan statement activity. </li><li>Manage the ordering and distribution of deposit stamps and slips. </li></ul> <p>Our ideal candidate:</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred in Accounting, plus two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook as well as property management software applications. </li><li>Present self in a neat, clean and professional manner at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community or representing the company. </li><li>Strong writing and proofreading skills. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse community members, as well as management and local authorities. </li><li>Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and demonstrate problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. </li><li>Competence in the operation of telephone, business calculator, copy machine, facsimile, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. </li><li>Must possess a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and current auto insurance coverage as this position may require some driving for company business. </li><li>Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook. </li></ul> <p>WSH Management provides equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any other basis protected by law.
