<p>Job Overview</p> <p>FHC is currently hiring for Primary Care Nursing positions. A successful candidate will experience a fast paced work day, a varied clientele and a supportive team environment. Examples of work responsibilities in this position include:</p> <ul> <li>Documents patient history and assesses chief complaints. </li><li>Reviews charts and makes entries. </li><li>Prepares patient and room for appropriate examination procedures. </li><li>Assists providers with exams and procedures. </li><li>Administers medications, injections, immunizations and venipunctures as ordered by physician. </li><li>Handles all abnormal and normal lab test results according to protocol. </li><li>Provides individual and group health education instruction and information. </li><li>Provides appropriate patient care based on age appropriate growth and development principles. </li><li>Assists in triage, handles patient inquiries, schedules appointments and assesses patient complaints via telephone and recommends appropriate action according to prescribed protocol. </li><li>Performs nursing assessments and develops health care plans for patients. </li><li>Performs basic laboratory procedures. </li><li>Makes referrals to the RN, supervisor, physician, or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner for situations requiring further intervention. </li><li>Cleans, stocks and orders supplies for the examination rooms. </li><li>Adheres to universal precautions. </li><li>Cleans and wraps instruments for sterilization. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>Possession of a current LPN license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing, or possession of a work permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Kentucky by endorsement.</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Family Health Centers is a family friendly work environment.
