<p>Site Safety Manager - ARB, Inc.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>ARB, Inc. is looking for a Site Safety Manager to mentor and communicate the culture of safety and health, also plan, implement and supervise all aspects of the project safety and accident prevention programs in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local program standards. This individual will coordinate with the Operations team on site-specific orientations and additional safety training as necessary. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to listen and build relationships with operations and client personnel.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and collaborate with site supervisory personnel to identify and remedy unsafe working conditions, immediately if necessary, establishing an injury free work site. </li><li>Conduct regular walk-through inspections and audits of construction area; visit with the craft labor and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices. </li><li>Investigate all accidents & near misses with Trade Superintendents, Foremen, and crew. </li><li>Accompany all safety, health, and insurance inspectors on walk through tours and ensure that all documentation is completed according to corporate and outside safety processes and procedures. </li><li>Ensure that communication with other personnel and owners clearly demonstrates that integrity, honesty, and ethics are prevalent in all exchanges both verbal and written. </li><li>Participate in daily (at a minimum) project safety-related discussions with the Construction Manager and Trade Superintendents. </li><li>Collaborate with HSE Director in reviewing all safety documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate, and submitted timely. Ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner. </li><li>Ensure and assist the site team with executing the Job Site Safety Program, which includes training and orientations. </li><li>Assist in changing behaviors towards safety by teaching (vs. telling) in a manner that allows individuals to understand the reasoning behind the behaviors desired. </li><li>Develop an understanding of the budgeted risk cost associated with the project. </li><li>Communicate and understand the risk of cost implications with on-site supervision as well as costs associated with developing solutions. </li><li>Follow through with injury management and collaborate with supervisors to mitigate claims and exposure to costs with personnel, subcontractors, and equipment. </li><li>Promote collaborative communication and team-building skills (both written and oral) in expressing everyone's commitment to safety. Work to make safety a behavior rather than a policy or goal we look to adhere to. </li><li>Manage, coach, and train Safety Technicians. </li><li>Develop and maintain working relationships with local EMT's, fire departments, law enforcement officials, and identified occupational physicians </li><li>Identify project site GPS coordinates for Life Flight services. </li><li>Coordinate and plan Primoris safety related training programs to include OSHA 10 and OSHA 30-hour trainings. Participate when appropriate. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A four-year degree in Occupational Safety/Health or equivalent combination of training and or experience. </li><li>Some experience working on large industrial projects highly desired. </li><li>A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Manager on a fast-paced construction project is desired. </li><li>A valid safety professional designation issued by the BCSP (or equivalent) is preferred. </li><li>Electrical safety, crane and heavy equipment safety and structural knowledge preferred. </li><li>OSHA 510 & OSHA 500 preferred. </li><li>Advanced knowledge and experience to comply with federal, state, local and company safety regulation requirements. </li><li>Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills/Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Good communication skills (oral, written, listening, and presentation) </li><li>Effective interpersonal and supervisory skills. </li><li>Ability to motivate others. </li><li>Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks. </li><li>Ability to give presentations to large groups of employees. </li><li>Excellent recordkeeping abilities. </li><li>Ability to represent the company in client relations on health, safety, and environmental issues. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office. </li><li>Fluent in English and Spanish preferred. </li><li>Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Paid Company Holidays </li><li>Paid PTO </li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, Short Term/Long Term Disability, 401K with matching contribution </li><li>Annual salary in the range of $110-135K commensurate with skills and experience </li></ul> <p>Company Overview</p> <p>Primoris was formed in 2004 as the parent company and is traded on the NYSE under the symbol PRIM.
