<p>Description</p> <p>SUMMARY: With supervision, administers medications to students with multiple disabilities aged 3-5 years.</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Administers medications - Gastronomy (G-Tube) and otherwise.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs G-Tube feedings.</p> </li><li> <p>Implements health management plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes paperwork associated with medication administration and health management plans.</p> </li></ol> <p>Marginal Functions:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Implements physical management plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Accompanies students in medical emergencies.</p> </li></ol> <p>CONDITIONS:</p> <p>Equipment Used: Augmentative communication Devices; computer; copy machine; and a variety of instructional equipment; exercise/recreational equipment; and mobility Devices; ALFA keyboard; adaptive/therapeutic equipment; assistive technology devices' and health related equipment.</p> <p>Performance Standard: Will assure 100% commitment to the integration, coordination, and implementation of student programs, and compliance with supervision, health, and safety standards.</p> <p>Work Environment: Multiple indoor and outdoor environments around and off campus with varying sound, lighting, and temperature conditions. May be exposed to various conditions when providing direct care to assigned students.</p> <p>Work Schedule: 37.5 hours Mon-Fri. This position follows an 11-month schedule.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Minimum High School Diploma/GED.</p> </li><li> <p>CMT certification and G-Tube feeding and medication administration certification required.</p> </li><li> <p>Comprehensive knowledge of medication administration and health management programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires at least two (2) years of successful experience in administering medications.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires at least one (1) year of successful experience in administering G-Tube medications and performing G-Tube feeding.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic knowledge of interdisciplinary team concept.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Driver's License and ability to operate motor vehicles in relation to student trips and emergencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months</p> </li></ol>
