<p>Job Title: Medical Assistant</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our wellness team at the New Covina office. This role involves scheduling appointments, verifying insurances, adding demographics to the EMR, and coordinating with IPA provider offices. You will conduct HRA screenings, including vitals and screening questionnaires, and engage in patient outreach to enhance the wellness program.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Schedule appointments and verify insurance information. </li><li>Add patient demographics to the EMR system. </li><li>Coordinate with IPA provider offices. </li><li>Conduct HRA screenings, including vitals and questionnaires. </li><li>Engage in patient outreach to support the wellness program. </li><li>Spearhead patient screening at the New Covina office. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual in Spanish and English. </li><li>Data entry and administrative support skills. </li><li>Current CPR Certificate; BLS (AHA). </li><li>MA Certificate and current CRT certification. </li><li>Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and NexGen systems. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. </li><li>Prefer a minimum of two years of experience in a similar setting. </li><li>Working knowledge of basic office programs and internet as related to medical office needs. </li><li>NexGen experience is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based at the New Covina location, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 45-minute lunch break. Initially, training will take place in West Covina until the New Covina office opens. The dress code is blue scrubs.
