<p>Willamette Valley Medical Center</p> <p>Unit Clerk-Internal Medicine</p> <p>Job Schedule: PRN <em>ONLY AS NEEDED</em></p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Performs a variety of tasks requiring prioritization and discretion. Greets patients, visitors and others and provides information to them. Participates in ensuring patient's comfort and personal care activities. May performs variety of clinic activities such as scheduling, insurance verification, balancing of co-pay money and balancing of daily or weekly deposits. Interfaces with physicians and other staff on a regular basis. May do limited coding and/or charge entry. Performs various other administrative duties as needed.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage and maintain daily schedules; notify staff of changes.</p> </li><li> <p>Process patient through Check-In and Out; Obtain and verify most current patient information</p> </li><li> <p>Obtain and scan insurance/Rx cards into EMR system; Verify insurance eligibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Collect co-pays and monies owed.
