<p>Chief Medical Officer-Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) - Toledo, OH</p> <p>Position Details:</p> <ul> <li>Schedule: Monday - Friday (no weekends or holidays) </li><li>Location: Toledo, Ohio </li><li>Job Type: Full-time, Exempt </li></ul> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) provides strategic clinical leadership and ensures the delivery of high-quality</p> <p>medical care throughout NHA's network. This dynamic, mission-driven leader will oversee clinical operations, provider</p> <p>recruitment, quality improvement initiatives, and serve as both a practicing physician and senior administrator.</p> <p>The CMO works closely with the CEO and senior leadership to shape clinical policies, manage performance, and foster a</p> <p>culture of continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct clinical care in an ambulatory setting. </li><li>Lead provider recruitment, interviewing, and retention efforts; collaborate </li></ul> <p>with the Physician Recruiter and make employment recommendations to</p> <p>the CEO.</p> <ul> <li>Develop and oversee credentialing standards, job descriptions, and </li></ul> <p>performance evaluation metrics for physicians and mid-level providers.</p> <ul> <li>Conduct provider performance evaluations, quality improvement </li></ul> <p>assessments, and medical staff supervision.</p> <ul> <li>Design and manage provider schedules and on-call rotations to ensure </li></ul> <p>optimal clinical coverage.</p> <ul> <li>Participate in strategic planning and develop clinical objectives aligned with </li></ul> <p>NHA's mission.</p> <ul> <li>Update and maintain medical practice principles to reflect evolving service </li></ul> <p>needs and professional standards.</p> <ul> <li>Actively engage with the Quality Management Team, Board of Trustees, </li></ul> <p>Provider Advisory Committee, and Quality Improvement Committee.</p> <ul> <li>Serve as primary liaison between medical leadership and NHA's Board of </li></ul> <p>Trustees, presenting QI/QA findings and clinical reports.</p> <ul> <li>Develop educational partnerships, including serving as a preceptor for </li></ul> <p>medical students, residents, and family practice programs.</p> <ul> <li>Lead continuing education and in-service training programs for clinical staff. </li><li>Assist with budgeting and financial planning for medical department </li></ul> <p>operations, compensation, and supply needs.</p> <ul> <li>Represent NHA on medical and healthcare matters within the broader </li></ul> <p>community.</p> <ul> <li>Provide expertise on clinical data analysis, program planning, practice </li></ul> <p>management, patient satisfaction, complaint resolution, and systems</p> <p>improvement.</p> <ul> <li>Conduct regular departmental meetings and maintain strong </li></ul> <p>communication across clinical teams.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Board-certified physician, preferably in Family Practice, with active Ohio </li></ul> <p>licensure.</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical operations, medical staff </li></ul> <p>management, and healthcare administration.</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. </li><li>Commitment to community health and working within a public health </li></ul> <p>service delivery model.</p> <ul> <li>Experience collaborating with nonprofit boards, committees, and task </li></ul> <p>forces.</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, and Total Quality </li></ul> <p>Management practices.</p> <ul> <li>Culturally competent, with the ability to work effectively with individuals </li></ul> <p>from diverse economic, social, and ethnic backgrounds.</p> <p>Compensation & Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary (commensurate with experience - please include salary </li></ul> <p>requirements with application).</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance. </li><li>401(k) with employer matching. </li><li>Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), 11 paid holidays. </li><li>Provider Education Leave. </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP). </li></ul> <p>About NHA:</p> <p>For over 50 years, Neighborhood Health Association (NHA), a Federally Qualified</p> <p>Health Center (FQHC), has been dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient centered healthcare to the underserved communities of Northwest Ohio.
