<p>For assistance on how to apply, please click here</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position is responsible for ensuring the Company is in full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Vehicle Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and requirements.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Build and maintain all Driver Qualification (DQ) files and other required records for DOT regulated employees, including DOT Drug and Alcohol screenings, medical cards, and hours of service</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and oversee the external DOT support provider relationship and process, including maintaining the active DOT driver listing</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain a risk-assessment process in accordance with the FMCSA to assess DOT drivers while actively employed and during pre-employment</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct training for drivers, managers, and locations regarding inspection requirements and expectations</p> </li><li> <p>Correspond with location leadership regarding any compliance concerns with DOT drivers at their location</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and assist in enforcement of pre - and post-hire DOT and FMCSA regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Perform and document regular audits to ensure full DOT compliance, making corrections as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Investigate, manage, and process all driver accident claims</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect DOT maintenance records and perform random vehicle inspections at all locations to ensure consistency and compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct ride-alongs with DOT drivers to audit safety performance</p> </li><li> <p>Establish necessary relationships with operations and management to further the vision of the DOT goals</p> </li><li> <p>Lead and assist locations and drivers with ELD implementation where necessary</p> </li></ul> <p>What is expected of you and others at this level</p> <ul> <li> <p>In-depth knowledge and experience</p> </li><li> <p>Uses existing solutions to resolve complex issues</p> </li><li> <p>Works independently; receives minimal guidance</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience</p> </li><li> <p>Represents the level at which career may stabilize for many years</p> </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred</p> </li><li> <p>5-10 years' relevant experience required</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations with 1-3 years' relevant program experience required</p> </li><li> <p>Possess a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or be willing to obtain within the first 18-months of employment</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record to drive for the company according to DOT standards and the Company's Vehicle Safety and Driver Qualification Policy</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Environment</p> <ul> <li> <p>Located at the Central Office Building or a Company location with DOT drivers</p> </li><li> <p>35%-40% travel required, may be more in the first 6-12 months</p> </li><li> <p>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to stand for an extended period of time</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel</p> </li><li> <p>Working conditions could include dust, fumes, moderate noise, and uneven surfaces</p> </li></ul> <p>This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
