<p>COLSA Corporation is seeking a Security Operations Specialist in Quantico, VA. This specialist will provide professional, unarmed security support to a Special Security Office (SSO) for a full range of security operations and administrative duties within DoD or Government controlled/classified or similar facilities. The individual must be capable of responding to crisis events, new challenges, and solving security related problems. Interaction with local police, fire and federal law enforcement agencies as needed.</p> <p>Job Specific Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provide eight (8) hours of desk service per day, Monday through Friday 0730 - 1600 (30-minute lunch) in accordance with proper procedures </li><li>Assist with processing a variety of security related administrative tasks, forms, and requests; </li><li>Assist Government personnel in the daily operations of the client's Access Control Desk; </li><li>Monitor local alarm systems and CCTV; </li><li>Provide entry/exit access control, including lobby-level reception, personnel badge issuance, and tracking of ingress of personnel in the facility; </li><li>Assist with security related tasks; </li><li>Assist Government personnel with collecting information for security clearances; </li><li>Receive, answer, and transfer official telephone calls in a professional manner; </li><li>Assist in the issuance/receipt and accountability of security equipment; </li><li>Assist in enforcing personnel compliance with local security procedures and guidelines; </li><li>Complete reporting as required; </li></ul> <p>At COLSA, people are our most valuable resource and centered at our core value. Learn about our employee-centric culture and benefits here.</p> <p>Required Experience</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a high school diploma plus some accredited college level education toward a degree </li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of security administration experience in DoD or Government controlled classified environments </li><li>Active TS/SCI DoD Clearance; US Citizenship required </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prior security experience in support of U.S. Marines </li><li>Experience with e-QIP processing, badge issuance, & Visitor Authorization Requests </li><li>Excellent written communication, report writing, and presentation skills, and customer service skills </li></ul> <p>Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
