<p>Melmark Overview Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders. # Scheduling Coordinator Overview Schedules staff for Children#s Department including the Education, RTF and CRH#s programs for first, second and third shifts. Completes all aspects of payroll functions for the department.# Manages staff attendance and advises department directors of violations of policies and procedures, including Time Management Policy and work rules. Manages the time-off request and the extra shift request processes in accordance with policies, ensuring adequate staffing while minimizing the use of overtime. # # Schedule and Salary Information Monday- Friday day shift Fully on-site Starting Rate: $19.57/hour (+) based on years of experience # Requirements Minimum of 50 college credits, bachelor#s degree preferred. A valid US driver#s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old.# Must be proficient in Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.# Strong Excel skills and strong math skills are essential.# Must be detail-oriented and have good problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills are essential. Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, given that frequent communication with many staff members is an ongoing component of the job. Prefer at least one (1) year experience with the application of electronic payroll systems # Scheduling Coordinator Responsibilities In collaboration with program directors and program managers, completes and maintains all staff schedules and templates and related automated timekeeping entries (e.g., callouts, transfers, time off requests, overtime shift entries, schedule change requests, new hire schedule, terminations). Ensures timely, adequate and budgeted staffing at all times (e.g., client attendance, holidays, short staffing contingencies, Administrator on call approval for additional staffing, weather emergencies, med trips, meets regulatory requirements). Develops and maintains systems to find coverage for vacant shifts in the timeliest, most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.# Ensures staff have the requisite skills and certification for potential assignments. Receives and reviews all time off requests daily.# Reviews staffing levels, number of time off requests for a given day and other pertinent factors, and awards or denies time off requests in accordance with policies. Ensures timely responses to staff on approvals or denials of time off requests.## In collaboration with program directors and program managers, keeps track of Occupational Health appointments and Family Medical Leave of Absences in coordination with Human Resources. Reviews and reconciles all timecards in the payroll system regularly (daily if possible), ensuring accuracy and completion, and coordinating correction or updating of schedules, as appropriate and in accordance with policies. Ensures all comments and pay codes entered on all staff timecards are correctly, appropriately and according to prescribed policies. Ensures the timely and accurate approval of timecards on or before the payroll close deadline.
