<p>Test Automation & Validation Engineer</p> <p>Contract Type: Permanent</p> <p>Job Location: Belgium - Zaventem</p> <p>Test Automation & Validation Engineer</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation and Validation Engineer to join the V&I department within a company in the aviation sector. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automating test processes and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration, test and validation of complex systems and subsystems, enhancing overall system reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Validation</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and procedures for systems and subsystems including connected solutions (IoT), advanced sensors and machine vision (camera). </li></ul> <p>Automation</p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to streamline validation processes and improve efficiency. </li></ul> <p>Documentation</p> <ul> <li>Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and integration guides. </li></ul> <p>Data analysis</p> <ul> <li>Analyze the collected data from different test cases to conclude and provide hints for improvement </li></ul> <p>Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with R&D and V&I teams to ensure requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, or Computer Science. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of related experience in HW/SW or embedded systems or a related engineering discipline. </li></ul> <p>Technical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in scripting in Python </li><li>Hands-on experience with one of automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Selenium, or Robot Framework…). </li><li>Proficiency in Linux Environment: Comfort with the command line (Bash/Zsh), package management (apt, pip), and remote access (SSH), interacting with GPIO& I2C/SPI </li><li>Experience with testing software that interacts with physical hardware (sensors, power supplies, or regulators, actuators…) </li><li>Familiarity with industrial communication protocols like Modbus, CAN bus, or Ethernet </li><li>Deep understanding of hardware-software system integration </li><li>Hands-on experience with lab equipment and measurement devices </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)</p> <ul> <li>Experience in regulated industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace, and medical devices). </li><li>Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEC) and electrical and functional safety, especially aviation (ICAO, FAA etc.) </li><li>Related experience in industrial test automation </li><li>Experience with LabVIEW/NI Ecosystem: National Instruments hardware for data acquisition (or equivalent) </li><li>Experience in SQL & Data Visualization: querying databases and building simple dashboards in Databricks is an advantage. </li><li>Exposure to aviation or automotive test and validation environment </li></ul> <p>Soft Skills</p> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Strong communication and documentation skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <ul> <li>Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and complex engineering challenges. </li><li>Collaborative and innovative work environment. </li><li>Competitive compensation and benefits package. </li></ul> <p>If you want to join a global business and enjoy being a team player who's driven and passionate, then this is your opportunity to come on board by applying!</p> <p>What to learn more about working at ADB SAFEGATE then check out our Career's website https://adbsafegate.com/about/career/</p>
