<p>Pediatric Nurse Triage</p> <p>Job Description: The Telephone Triage Nurse is responsible for providing telephone, triage and medical advice to patients across a range of medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical and communication skills to ensure the provision of quality patient care.</p> <p>LPN or MA required</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assess patient symptoms and needs over the phone. </li><li>Provide medical advice based on clinical protocols and guidelines. </li><li>Determine the urgency of patient conditions and recommend appropriate care levels. </li><li>Document patient interactions and maintain accurate healthcare records. </li><li>Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. </li><li>Educate patients on managing their health conditions at home. </li><li>Monitor patient follow-ups and adjust care plans as necessary. </li><li>Manage emergency calls and provide immediate guidance for critical situations. </li><li>Utilize electronic health records and other healthcare technologies effectively. </li><li>Participate in regular training and continuing education to stay updated with medical practices. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of electronic health record systems. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments. </li><li>Experience with patient education </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience. </li><li>Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. </li><li>Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and professionally. </li><li>Proficient computer skills and comfort with telehealth technologies. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and patient empathy. </li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours if needed. </li></ul> <p>Department Standards:</p> <p>All representatives of MMC are expected to</p> <p>1) promote an image of professionalism</p> <p>2) perform all duties asked of them in a timely and efficient manner</p> <p>3) focus primarily on providing excellent customer service.</p> <p>This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job</p> <p>requirements.
