Unlock your potential!</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates advanced clinical skills and ability to assess patients to determine appropriate level of care. </li><li>Identifies cultural considerations, gender identity and preferred language for patients and family </li><li>Demonstrates advance practice in assessments, and all other documentation timely and in compliance with requirements (as appropriate to scope) </li><li>Assesses environment and patient's safety status and reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patients condition </li><li>Identifies risk factors, screening criteria and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement) </li><li>Recognizes and acts upon unexpected assessment findings </li><li>Leads in ensuring a safe structured milieu with evidence based treatment modalities/resources </li><li>Maintains active and timely communication with patients, families, multidisciplinary team and continuum of care providers </li><li>Provides education and guidance regarding state commitment processes, abuse reporting requirements, duty to warn and guardianship processes. </li><li>Assesses, collaborates, coordinates and provides guidance on complex discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with the multidisciplinary team. </li><li>Develops and maintains a community resource guide including access to public assistance/alternatives. </li><li>Facilitates and participates in Community Education, Activities and Support Groups (as appropriate to scope) </li><li>Conducts post-discharge follow-up if indicated </li><li>Assists with Process and Quality Improvement initiatives </li><li>Delivers patient care based on accepted standards of care </li><li>Demonstrates appropriate application of age/developmental stage specific standards, policies and procedures, and guidelines in assessing and treating patients to ensure patient safety. </li><li>Maintains professionalism and uses good communication skills in interacting with peers, staff, patients, families and in resolving conflicts. </li><li>Demonstrates understanding of and ability to maintain clear professional boundaries with peers, patients and families. </li><li>Serves as an educational resource to patients, families, interdisciplinary team members, payer representatives, and other parties as appropriate regarding behavioral services </li><li>Performs utilization review as assigned </li><li>Participates in developing department goals/objectives and clinical programming </li><li>Reviews, coaches and assists with training of new staff/interns as assigned within approved practice and program guidelines. </li><li>Demonstrates knowledge and role in hospital codes </li><li>Follows all hospital and department policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>What qualifications you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date </li><li>Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date </li><li>Masters Degree </li></ul> <p>Dominion Hospital has provided quality healthcare services for close to 50 years!
