<p>Head Women's Volleyball Coach</p> <p>POSITION DETAILS</p> <p>Instruct student athletes in the rules, fundamentals, individual player development, sportsmanship, and leadership of their respective sports. In addition to those teaching duties, they are also responsible for determining the fundamental philosophy, skills, strategies, and techniques for each team.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and/or provide instruction for the teaching of current fundamentals, techniques, and strategies relative to one or more sport(s) </li><li>Lead regular practice sessions and contests in a safe physical environment; provide appropriate emergency care </li><li>Perform all duties in compliance with the rules and regulations of the NJCAA, Bronx Community College, CUNY Community College Championship Committee, Region XV </li><li>Recruit eligible student-athletes, supervise study activities, and monitor academic progress </li><li>Conduct regular practices and training sessions </li><li>Serve as positive and professional role model and mentor to the student community, treating all persons with dignity and respect; prevent harassment and discrimination by coaching staff and athletes and report all breaches of ethical behavior </li><li>May conduct and participate in fundraising activities and community service events </li><li>Participate in all Region pre and post season calls and meetings </li><li>Required to transport team to games and/or off-site practice sessions </li><li>Complete all required and assigned trainings through BCC, CUNY, Region XV and NJCAA </li><li>Performs related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Bachelor's degree and two years' full-time related experience required.</p> <p>Other Qualifications:</p> <p>Master's degree preferred</p> <p>A motor vehicle driver's license valid in the State of New York may be required for some, but not all positions</p> <p>Must be certified and maintain certification in First Aid and CPR/AED (or preferred)</p> <p>CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW</p> <p>Instruct student athletes in the rules, fundamentals, individual player development, sportsmanship, and leadership of their respective sports.
