<p>Provides general administrative support to court administration in planning and coordinating court activities. Acts as the human resources representative for the court.</p> <p>Salary: $34.93-$45.41 hourly / $72,654.40 - $94,452.80 annually (effective 7/14/2025)An equivalent combination of formal education and applicable related experience may be considered.</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>At least five years of administrative work experience, preferably in a legal or governmental environment. </li><li>Proficient in Office 365, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Abilities:</p> <p>Knowledge of:</p> <ul> <li>General principles of administrative and human resources management. </li><li>Principles of safety and risk management. </li><li>Benefit and leave administration programs. </li><li>Clerical, financial, and record keeping practices. </li></ul> <p>Ability to:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate operations to determine effectiveness and efficiency. </li><li>Read, interpret, apply, and explain pertinent laws, statutes, codes, regulations, policies, and standards. </li><li>Research, compile, tabulate, analyze, and interpret data and information. </li><li>Meet and deal tactfully with the public and other individuals contacted in the course of work. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. </li><li>Handle multiple concurrent projects and manage priorities and tasks. </li><li>Understand and follow verbal and written instructions. </li><li>Plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines. </li><li>Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external parties. </li></ul> <p>Majority of work is completed in a general office environment with exposure to moderate levels of noise in a well-lit, well-ventilated and fast paced environment; continuously required to read computer screen.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide general administrative support to court administration to assist with administrative operations, special projects, acquisition of capital goods/operating supplies, general office management, etc. </li><li>Confer with management on administrative and human resource issues; provide recommendations for organizational changes related to compliance with county human resource policies and best practices. </li><li>Participate in special projects, assignments, and activities as assigned. </li><li>Perform a variety of administrative duties for management, such as payroll, purchasing, project management, and travel management as assigned. </li><li>Act as liaison between the court and county human resources and other county departments/divisions as assigned. </li><li>Coordinate the management of personnel policies and disciplinary actions and participate in personnel investigations when required. </li><li>Maintain personnel files pursuant to court and county policy. </li><li>Coordinate and facilitate meetings, appointments, and travel for court administration and other staff as assigned. </li><li>Manage recruitment for position vacancies, including but not limited to preparing job announcements, screening applicants, facilitating reference/background checks, communicating with applicants, and advising management on applicable policies and best practices for hiring decisions. </li><li>Implement and interpret court personnel policies for staff and advise management regarding necessary changes. </li><li>Assist court administration in personnel training, recruitment, discipline, coaching, and development. </li><li>Ensure personnel perform duties and responsibilities in a safe and prudent manner that does not expose them or others to unnecessary harm or risk of injury. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Deadline to Apply: Friday, July 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>Application Requirements:</p> <p>A complete application packet will include the following:</p> <ul> <li>Cover Letter </li><li>Resume </li><li>3 Professional References </li></ul> <p>How to Apply:</p> <p>Submit complete application packet as one combined PDF document to Jeremy Wilson at RenoJusticeCourt-HR@washoecounty.gov</p> <p>Email: RenoJusticeCourt-HR@washoecounty.gov</p> <p>Phone: (775) 325-6517</p> <p>The Selection Process</p> <p>Submitted documents will be reviewed for minimum qualifications.
