This individual will maintain and operate a dump truck, hauling various materials from quarries/sand & gravel pits to jobsites for placement, backfill, and stockpiling.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials such as asphalt, gravel, etc. to and from sites. </li><li>Utilize specified fleet app(s) for receiving dispatches, checking in and out, and real-time communication with Logistic's Team as well as internal and external customers. </li><li>Complete paperless Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) using company-approved digital tools. </li><li>Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials </li><li>Load and unload materials using truck's hydraulic system </li><li>Use hand tools to clean out bed of truck when needed </li><li>Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the truck </li><li>Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies </li><li>Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, and other team members </li></ul> <p>Other Required Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting and standing. </li><li>Must be able to access and navigate the facility. </li><li>Able to safely climb and descend ladders. </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. </li><li>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in operational areas. </li><li>The position will require work outside of normal business hours. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Must hold a minimum of a Class B CDL with manual transmission; Class A CDL is preferred. </li><li>Must have a current valid DOT physical </li><li>Must have a clean driving record </li><li>Demonstrate good judgement and discretion. </li><li>Strong communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends as required by business demands </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>2-3 years driving experience preferred </li><li>High school diploma or GED required </li></ul> <p>Competitive Benefits Package:</p> <ul> <li>$1500 sign-on bonus for new hires. </li><li>Company-Paid/Discounted YMCA Membership </li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance </li><li>Employer contribution to Health Savings Account with enrollment in High Deductible Health Plan </li><li>Traditional and Roth 401k Plans w/ Employer Match </li><li>Company-Paid Life Insurance Policy </li><li>Paid Time Off (Personal, Holiday, Bereavement) </li><li>DOT Physical Reimbursement </li></ul> <p>Join our team and be part of a company that values safety, teamwork, and professional growth!</p> <p>Note: This job description is subject to change and does not constitute an employment agreement.
