If you're energized by purpose-driven work and a values-led culture, we'd love to meet you.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The People & Culture Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily HR operations, with a focus on recruitment, benefits, onboarding and performance management. The ideal candidate is genuinely passionate about People and has the desire to learn and contribute to a mission driven organization.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>Recruitment & Onboarding</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate scheduling, interview logistics, and candidate communications. </li><li>Support end-to-end onboarding including background checks, I-9 verification, and orientation. </li><li>Manage new hire processing and documentation in UKG HRIS. </li><li>Collaborate with IT to process Help Desk tickets for new employees. </li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance candidate and new hire experience. </li></ul> <p>Administrative</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate employee records (electronic and physical) to ensure compliance. </li><li>Schedule and support internal meetings, training workshops, and People & Culture events. </li><li>Respond to routine employee inquiries and employment verification requests. </li><li>Support benefits administration and respond to employee benefit questions. </li><li>Create and maintain SOPs for internal processes. </li><li>Assist with audits, data reporting, and workforce analytics. </li><li>Process invoices and reconcile department credit card statements. </li></ul> <p>Culture & Engagement</p> <ul> <li>Assist with team-building events, employee recognition, and culture committee initiatives. </li><li>Act as a culture champion - helping foster an inclusive, collaborative, and people-first culture. </li><li>Support internal communications, celebrations, and milestone acknowledgments. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. </li><li>2+ years in Human Resources or related administrative role. </li><li>Working knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements. </li><li>Experience with HRIS platforms (UKG preferred). </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. </li><li>High level of discretion with confidential information. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Featured Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Health Benefit Package (Medical, Dental & Vision) </li><li>403(b) Retirement Plan with company match </li><li>Generous paid time off (PTO, Holidays, Birthday Off, Volunteer Time, 4-Day Work Weeks during the Summer & more!) </li><li>Paid Parental Leave </li><li>Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Dependent Care Accounts (DCA) & Commuter Reimbursement Accounts (CRA) </li><li>Learning & Development Opportunities (Robust LinkedIn Learning library, Lunch & Learn Sessions, internal employee development & more) </li><li>EAP, wellness and mental health resources </li><li>Discounted staff perks (e.g., movie tickets, gym memberships, travel) </li></ul> <p>People-First Culture</p> <p>At Food Bank for New York City, we pride ourselves on having a People-First Culture, our people are our greatest strength.
