<p>Contract Cyber Intelligence Associate</p> <p>Onsite Role | 9/80 Work Schedule | Security Clearance Required</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Cyber Intelligence Associate to join our team in a contract capacity. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding sensitive information systems, ensuring compliance with security standards, and supporting cyber operations in a highly secure and mission-driven environment. The position is 100% onsite and follows a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), offering a strong work-life balance.</p> <p>Role Overview</p> <p>As a Cyber Intelligence Associate, you will support the security and compliance of classified information systems. You'll collaborate with system owners, IT teams, and security management to ensure systems are securely configured, maintained, and monitored in line with federal cybersecurity guidelines. Your responsibilities will span daily operations, compliance tracking, change control coordination, and continuous monitoring of security controls.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensure all information systems are operated, maintained, and decommissioned according to approved security policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and analyze audit records across multiple platforms in accordance with the approved security plan; promptly report discrepancies.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend technical training (networking, OS, cybersecurity) to stay current on compliance-related duties.</p> </li><li> <p>Verify users' security clearances, access authorizations, and need-to-know prior to granting system access.</p> </li><li> <p>Report security-related incidents to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) or Facility Security Officer (FSO).</p> </li><li> <p>Perform continuous monitoring of systems to confirm compliance with the system's security authorization.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a compliance advisor on the Configuration Control Board (CCB), where applicable.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with IT and ISSM to document and review system modifications to hardware, software, or firmware.</p> </li><li> <p>Notify ISSM of any changes that could affect system authorization status.</p> </li><li> <p>Support system recovery efforts to verify restoration of security controls and functionality.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain up-to-date, accessible security documentation for all assigned systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure regular audit logging and analysis is completed per the security plan.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.</p> </li><li> <p>Current DoD 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC, CASP CE, CISA, CISM, or CISSP)</p> </li><li> <p>2+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Linux system administration</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with configuration control and change management (e.g., SCCM)</p> </li><li> <p>Solid understanding of networking and cybersecurity concepts (e.g., switches, network security, TACLANE, Active Directory, DLP, log analysis)</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a proactive learner with a commitment to continuing professional development</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>OS or networking certifications</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with government cybersecurity frameworks and regulations (e.g., NIST, NISPOM, RMF)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with DoD or Defense Industrial Base (DIB) systems</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <p>The ideal candidate must:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Be punctual and maintain consistent attendance</p> </li><li> <p>Work efficiently within time constraints and deadlines</p> </li><li> <p>Follow government guidelines and internal policy requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders</p> </li><li> <p>Be open to feedback and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions</p> </li><li> <p>Remain current on required training and actively manage assigned projects</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to field incidents and urgent tasks, including occasional after-hours work when needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience </li></ul> <p>This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly secure, structured environment and is passionate about protecting critical information systems.
