<p>Apply</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Description</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>South Coast Community Services takes pride in providing our staff with competitive compensation, opportunities for professional growth, access to diverse client populations, clinical autonomy, and a strong support system of seasoned employees. This position will provide Tier 3 therapeutic services to high-needs students experiencing significant and persistent behavioral, emotional, or academic challenges that cannot be adequately addressed through general education or lower-tier interventions. The clinician will work on-site at the district office and school campuses while remaining under SCCS supervision, policies, and procedures. Core responsibilities include providing individual therapy, collaborating with school staff, supporting crisis situations, participating in multidisciplinary meetings, and offering training to school teams on best practices for working with Tier 3 students. This position is eligible for merit increases throughout the accumulation of clinical hours, attainment of licensure, and experience in the position post-licensure.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and/or group therapy to high-needs (Tier 3) students in a general education setting. </li><li>Conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. </li><li>Collaborate closely with school teams, including teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff to support student success. </li><li>Utilize a trauma-informed approach when working with children and their families. </li><li>Acquire and apply up-to date knowledge of evidenced based interventions and methodologies. </li><li>Comply with all HIPAA, FERPA and SCCS confidentiality standards as appropriate. </li><li>Adhere to all relevant standards and regulations for productivity, timeliness, and documentation. </li><li>Respond to and support school-based crisis situations, providing de-escalation, safety planning, and follow-up as needed. </li><li>Provide consultation and training to school personnel on working effectively with Tier 3 students and promoting trauma-informed practices. </li><li>Travel between school sites within Walnut Valley USD as needed to meet with students and staff. </li><li>Report to SCCS offices for scheduled team meetings, all staff meetings and trainings </li><li>Report to SCCS for additional duties during school breaks (i.e. spring break, winter break, school holiday's not recognized by SCCS). </li><li>Clinicians may be eligible to provide psychotherapy to commercially insured clients for an additional stipend through South Coast's Hope Healing Connection Program. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to meet organizational needs. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Clinician II</p> <p>Level II Clinician (1500 hours or more): $76,920-$79,600</p> <p>Level III Clinician (Licensed): $85,280-$87,960</p> <p>Education/Experience</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required. </li><li>At least 1500 completed hours towards licensure. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Registration, Certification</p> <ul> <li>Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). </li><li>Licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW/LMFT/LPCC preferred. </li><li>Valid CA driver's license and proof of automobile insurance. </li><li>Completion of CPR/First Aid within the first thirty (30) days of employment. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to drive a motor vehicle without restrictions, often in heavy traffic and frequently long distances (one hour or more) to ensure safe transport to client settings and to safely transport clients to appointments as needed. </li><li>Senses of vision, hearing and smell sufficient to regularly operate a motor vehicle, to visualize threats in the environment or risks to clients, and to operate safely in the field. </li><li>Required to occasionally lift and carry 10-20 pounds. </li><li>Regularly required to sit, stand, climb stairs (1 or more flights) and walk while in route to and during family visits. </li><li>Regularly required to sit and use computer in office settings. </li></ul> <p>EOE, INCLUDING DISABILITY/VETS</p> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under California law.</p> <p>Salary Description</p> <p>$76,920 - $87,960 SALARY</p>
