<p>General Summary:</p> <p>Work with senior design engineers and assist in the design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic programs for standard products, specials and integrated systems. Designs test fixtures and equipment including specifications and procedures for new products and production test applications.</p> <p>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Designs and develops test procedures and test software for application in production test environment. </li><li>Utilizes TestStand C, C++, C#, and LabView to run and troubleshoot Test Program Sets (TPS). </li><li>Supports development and testing of Digital and Analog Hardware. </li><li>Supports and maintains existing Factory ATE software. </li><li>Configures and maintains PC's for ATE environment </li><li>Oversees the design and construction of electromechanical test fixtures for prototype and production testing of custom and standard instrumentation, components, parts and accessories. </li><li>Creates bills of material, engineering and assembly drawings and documentation. </li><li>Trains production test technicians and customer service technicians in application of test procedures, software and hardware. </li><li>Provides support to Customer Service for returned products, including fault analysis, repair, and corrective action recommendations. </li><li>Assists in new product development, prototype build/ testing, hardware/ software integration, product validation/calibration. </li></ul> <p>Job Specifications:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</p> <ul> <li>Four or more years' design or test engineering experience in a high technology environment is preferred. </li><li>Must have in-depth knowledge of circuit theory and programming expertise in test languages such as C#, Visual BASIC and LabVIEW. </li><li>Requires a BSEE degree or its equivalent in terms of technical knowledge. </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>For individuals hired to work in California, Astronics Test Systems (ATS) is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience, as well as internal equity.
