<p>Job Details</p> <p>Division: Nucor Steel Memphis, Inc.</p> <p>Location: Memphis, TN, United States</p> <p>Other Available Locations: N/A Basic Job Functions: This role will perform duties or with the ladle wall daily. This position will need to understand the components and workings of the ladlegates. In this position you will perform Bricking Stand Duties, Tundish yard duties and material handler duties if needed. In this role you must have the ability to read refractory wear on brick plates, brick wear on ladles, and plug wear, as well as replace stir plugs. Must manage and rebuild ladle slidegates, manage and operate ladle laser scan system, perform bricking and installation of refractories, pour castable products and operate castable mixer, and daily operate track grant and have the ability to operate EAF roof top.</p> <p>Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work in extreme temperatures. Minimum 6 months of Refractory experience</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications: Basic Understanding of Refractory's in Steelmaking Understand refractory wear characteristics in ladles.
