We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and collaborative Transit Planner who is passionate about providing innovative solutions.</p> <p>When you join as a Transportation Planner, you'll be responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Managing regional planning projects and planning studies </li><li>Identifying planning strategies to support local and regional planning efforts </li><li>Collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies (transit and roadway) </li><li>Preparing official correspondence and reviewing planning documents and studies </li><li>Developing public facing materials to enhance outreach and engagement </li><li>Preparing and presenting materials to internal and external stakeholders </li></ul> <p>#LI-LM1236</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Planning, Policy, Urban Studies, or related fields </li><li>Three to five years of professional experience working for a transit/roadway agency (MDOT, SHA, BCDOT, MTA), local jurisdiction, state or federal agency, or related private sector position </li><li>Project management experience including overseeing scope, schedule, and budget </li><li>Experience collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies </li><li>Understanding of basic planning and project management principles (funding, major phases, environmental considerations, etc.) </li><li>Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate across multiple media with both internal and external stakeholders </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office </li><li>Local to the Baltimore-Metro area (must report to Baltimore office at least two times per week) </li></ul> <p>Ideally, you'll also have:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with the Baltimore and Washington metropolitan regions and the agencies working within these areas (e.g., Maryland Transit Administration, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, and local transit operators) </li><li>Master's degree in Planning or related fields </li></ul> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>78,800.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>108,300.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.</p> <p>The base salary range for this position is $78,800.00 to $108,300.00.
