<p>JEVS Human Services is a nonprofit based in Philadelphia that helps individuals achieve independence through job training, education, and support services. For over 80 years, JEVS has empowered people to overcome barriers and build better futures.</p> <p>The Senior Vice President of Communications is a mission-driven, strategic executive leader responsible for shaping and executing an integrated communications and marketing strategy and implementation that amplifies the visibility, impact, and growth of JEVS Human Services . This role oversees all external and internal communications, brand positioning, marketing campaigns and digital engagement. The SVP plays a critical role in advancing the organization's mission, with an emphasis on achieving the agency's strategic plan.</p> <p>This position is hybrid and will require a minimum 3 onsite days a week.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Develop and lead an integrated communications and marketing strategy aligned with the organization's mission, values, and strategic goals. </li><li>Serves on the executive leadership team and advises the COS, CEO and Executive Team on communications, public perception, brand identity, and marketing initiatives. </li><li>Oversee the organization's marketing strategy, including digital marketing, print materials, advertising campaigns, event promotion, and donor engagement tools. </li><li>Oversees communications and marketing services, provides counsel and support to JEVS programs and services, including strategic marketing plan development, marketing communications, copy writing and editing for printed pieces and advertising, oversight of design, and media buying. </li><li>Ensure a unified brand identity across all touchpoints-web, social, email, signage, and media. </li><li>Lead market research and audience segmentation to better understand and engage clients, students, donors, and other stakeholders. </li><li>Shape and steward the organization's public narrative, ensuring compelling storytelling that highlights the impact in healthcare and education and the strategic goals of the organization. </li><li>Foster a culture of transparency, inclusion, and mission alignment through clear and engaging internal communications for staff. </li><li>Oversee digital strategy, including website management, social media presence, email marketing, and analytics tracking. </li><li>Leverage content and platforms to support fundraising, recruitment, program engagement, and public awareness. Guide creation of high-impact content across digital, print, and video platforms that advances advocacy, fundraising, and thought leadership. </li><li>Oversees event logistics for communications, such as press conferences and high impact program events. </li><li>Lead and mentor a high-performing communications team, directly supervising a VP of Communications and Director of Design and Digital. </li><li>Manage departmental budget and vendor relationships to ensure strategic investment of resources. </li><li>Lead partnership with Advancement Team as it pertains to events and fundraising. </li><li>Liaise with media as needed and directed by the Chief of Staff and CEO. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Seven years or more of senior-leadership experience in overseeing the delivery of social services. </li><li>Project Management Experience </li><li>Five or more years of proven executive level administrative oversight </li><li>Experience supervising leadership teams as well as supervising individual team members. </li><li>Experience with Labor management </li><li>Experience developing and monitoring administrative budgets and managing multiple funding sources concurrently. </li><li>Experience with development of partnership and collaborations </li><li>Experience with Strategic Plan development and management </li><li>Experience with Marketing, Communications and External Affairs </li><li>Advanced-level Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills </li></ul> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field; Master's degree preferred. </li><li>Eight to 10 years of progressive experience in communications and marketing, with at least two in a senior leadership role preferably in a government, nonprofit, healthcare, or education setting. </li><li>Prior supervision of communication personnel. </li></ul> <p>What's in it for you:</p> <ul> <li>401(k), with company match </li><li>Tuition assistance: Available to all employees with at least one year of service, for those enrolled in job-related, accredited, degree or certificate level courses </li><li>Health, Dental, and Vision coverage </li><li>Ample paid vacation and sick time </li><li>10-12 paid holidays per year </li><li>Pre-tax commuter benefits </li><li>Continuing education, professional development opportunities, and training </li><li>Wellness workshops and activities and access to the Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Employee referral bonus </li><li>Reimbursement of eligible mileage and travel expenses </li></ul> <p>The base pay for this position ranges from $158,000 to $175,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
