Innovation.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Professional Tutor of Biology (Laboratory Content) will provide in-person and remote tutoring to DCC students who are enrolled in Biology lab courses, either individually or in small groups.</p> <p>Hours are 12.5 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters.</p> <p>Assist in monitoring students using the lab via computerized swipe system.</p> <p>Assist with data gathering for Perkins grant reporting.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in biology or a closely related field is required. </li><li>The tutor should have tutoring skills and knowledge in the biological disciplines, particularly anatomy and physiology. </li><li>The successful candidate will be flexible with scheduling, as hours will correlate to student needs and biology laboratory availability. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body. </li><li>Experience in laboratory instruction would be desirable. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>This position is a 12.5 hour per week position to report during varied hours, with specific hours to be determined by the employee and supervisor based on current departmental needs.
