Creates and maintains digital files for classification and wildlife habitats. Calculates back taxes for withdrawal applications.</p> <p>Processes County annexations, consolidations, mapping errors, plats and re-plats, takings of right of ways, splits, and vacations. Imports Auditor's tax changes to our assessing software daily.</p> <p>Processes affidavits of transfer to real estate form provided by the Auditor's Office. Adds new property addresses, verifies existing property addresses and updates incorrect addresses after verifying.</p> <p>Prepares and performs plat work, and builds PDF to attach to parcels and enter in appropriate folders.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Practical knowledge of department standards, practices, policies, assessment and appeals procedures, terminology, documents and forms, state codes and other legal requirements, with the ability to count and make calculations, use tax tables, accurately process mapping-related documents, review and process property records, identify and resolve discrepancies, perform field checks and prepare maps and drawings accordingly.</p> <p>Working knowledge of standard office procedures, basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, email, internet, and department-specific software such as applicable GIS, governmental, appraisal and financial software systems, with ability to apply such knowledge to a variety of interrelated processes, tasks, and operations.</p> <p>Working knowledge of standard English grammar, spelling and punctuation, and ability to prepare documents, correspondence, and detailed reports.</p> <p>Working knowledge of basic filing systems and ability to maintain accurate and complete department files and records.</p> <p>Ability of operate standard office equipment, including computer, calculator, telephone, copier, scanner and fax machine.</p> <p>Education/Experience</p> <p>High School diploma or HSE required.</p> <p>Possession of or ability to obtain required training/certification(s), including Indiana Assessment Level I, II and III certifications.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Incumbent performs duties primarily in a standard office environment, involving sitting for long periods, sitting/walking at will, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects weighing less than 25 pounds, handling/grasping/fingering objects, keyboarding, crouching/kneeling, bending, reaching, close vision, speaking clearly, and driving.</p>
