Together, we can drive meaningful change, spark innovation, and achieve extraordinary milestones.</p> <p>Kentro is hiring a cleared Senior-level System Administrator to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>System Maintenance and Upgrades</p> <ul> <li>Perform full system upgrades and repairs (Linux and Windows) (monthly) </li><li>Install software releases and upgrades on Linux and Windows (monthly) </li><li>Evaluate and install security patches (IAVAs) (weekly as needed) </li><li>Maintain group policies and procedures (monthly) </li><li>Set up and ensure operation of mount scripts for Windows (daily as needed) </li><li>Acquire system accreditations (monthly) </li></ul> <p>Troubleshooting and Technical Support</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshoot and repair operating system (OS) and hardware issues (daily as needed) </li><li>Troubleshoot and repair all software issues (daily as needed) </li><li>Troubleshoot network issues (daily as needed) </li><li>Train customer on proper usage of software (daily as needed) </li><li>Set up, test, and maintain Twist software, workflows, and hardware </li><li>Set up, test, and maintain Litho workstations software and hardware (daily as needed) </li><li>Set up and maintain samba mounts for Windows (daily as needed) </li></ul> <p>Security and Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Conduct audit and log reviews (weekly as needed) </li><li>Ensure personnel comply with system security policies (daily as needed) </li><li>Maintain a log of system problems, errors, failures, and downtime metrics </li></ul> <p>Backup, Recovery, and Data Management</p> <ul> <li>Perform daily and weekly system backups and recovery </li><li>Update/create tables, fields, relationships, and indexes (as needed) </li><li>Administer the Print on Demand (PoD) and the Intent-to-Publish (NIP) database </li></ul> <p>User and Identity Management</p> <ul> <li>Create and ensure operation of Active Directory and DNS (daily as needed) </li><li>Create accounts and set up user-specific access (daily as needed) </li><li>Ensure customer log on (daily as needed) </li></ul> <p>Asset and Configuration Management</p> <ul> <li>Maintain hardware and software inventory lists (GFI-provided) </li><li>Manage all software licensing information (daily as needed) </li></ul> <p>Service Request and Infrastructure Provisioning</p> <ul> <li>Submit requirements within Service+ for any compute, storage, database, SharePoint, or Tableau infrastructure provisioning </li></ul> <p>Location: On-site in the Washington, DC Metro</p> <p>Salary Range: $160,000-175,000. Factors influencing pay within this range include geography, market demand, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.</p> <ul> <li>8-10 years of relevant experience in the following: </li><li>Proficiency in Linux (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments </li><li>Familiarity with samba mounts, mount scripts, and system file sharing between OS platforms </li><li>Experience with Active Directory and DNS management </li><li>Experience with System/Windows Administration, for example: </li><li>System installation, upgrades, and patching </li><li>Configuration and management of group policies </li><li>Experience managing system backups and recovery </li><li>Performing system audits and log reviews </li><li>Knowledge of IAVA compliance and security patching </li><li>Experience with hardening Windows instances per DISA STIG or equivalent </li><li>PowerShell scripting </li><li>Local Group Policy Updates/Management </li><li>Users and Group Management </li><li>Windows File Shares </li><li>Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or cloud architecture </li><li>Amazon EC2 (create and update Amazon Machine Images) </li><li>Amazon S3 (configure bucket policies, Amazon VPC endpoints) </li><li>AWS Lambda </li><li>Amazon CloudWatch </li><li>Amazon VPC (manage Security Groups, Subnets, etc.) </li><li>AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) </li><li>Knowledge of SQL and relational databases like Oracle and SQL Server </li><li>Designing, developing, and testing of production-ready reports </li><li>Implementing logical and physical data modeling concepts </li><li>Diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues </li><li>Installing, testing, and maintaining commercial and custom applications (e.g., Twist, Litho) </li><li>Managing software licenses and inventory </li><li>Understanding of system hardening, security policies, and access controls </li></ul> <p>Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI with willingness to take CI Poly.</p> <p>The Company</p> <p>We believe in generating success collaboratively, enabling long-term mission success, and building trust for the next challenge.
