The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and a demonstrated eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to continuous process improvement.</p> <p>MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs moderately complex accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare accurate, well-documented journal entries; verify account balances and ensure proper accounting classifications across various financial reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that all proper internal controls, procedures and SOX requirements are followed</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide various support schedules and analysis for financial audits, both internally and externally</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that financial deadlines are met, and that customer service is provided to all internal/external stakeholders.</p> </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience required</p> </li><li> <p>1-4 years accounting experience in public accounting or the financial services industry preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a flexible, independent team player with a positive attitude and willingness to step-in and provide support as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to handle multiple priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical skills and decision-making abilities</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills required</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word</p> </li></ul> <p>The estimated base salary range for this position is $ 70,000 USD to $ 85,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
