The COTA will also assist with the daily recreational therapeutic responsibilities of the Senior Behavioral Health Program.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate therapeutic group programming under the supervision of the OTR/L </li><li>Adhere to the current schedule using performance metrics to guide documentation </li><li>Modify activities as needed for patients during group sessions </li><li>Provide 1:1 treatments/interventions as necessary for patients unable to attend group sessions </li><li>Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings </li><li>Establishes and maintains effective therapeutic and working relationships </li><li>Supports and upholds the hospital's Excellence in Service initiatives </li><li>Receives continuing education required for job function </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: Associate's Degree from ACOTE accredited program</p> </li><li> <p>Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in an occupational therapy setting; geri-psych experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Certification/Licensure:</p> </li><li> <p>Licensed in Massachusetts (COTA/L)</p> </li><li> <p>NBCOT certification required</p> </li><li> <p>BLS certification required</p> </li><li> <p>Mandatory De-escalation Education within 30 days of hire</p> </li><li> <p>Software/Hardware: Meditech experience preferred; Microsoft Outlook and Word</p> </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Disabled/Veterans</p>
