<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Region 14 Vacancy</p> <p>POSITION: Elementary STEM Parade/Invention Convention Advisor (1 per school)</p> <p>LOCATION: Bethlehem Elementary School and Mitchell Elementary School</p> <p>START DATE: August 27, 2025</p> <p>DEADLINE: September 2, 2025</p> <p>GENERAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Communicate with students and parents about the STEM Parade (October) and Invention Convention opportunities (January) </li><li>Meet with students to support them in the preparation of STEM floats for the STEM parade prior to the Thanksgiving break. </li><li>Organize the Invention Convention to include planning, preparation, progress checks, and presentations of inventions (February) </li><li>Coordinate the Invention Convention presentations at the school - date, time, judges, and scoring (March) </li><li>Accompany finalists to the CT State Invention Convention at UConn - Saturday in May </li></ul> <p>SALARY: $500 stipend for the school year, Invention Convention Saturday in May paid hourly based on contractual "Compensation Beyond Work Year" of $27.14 per hour</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Elementary certified teacher currently employed by Region 14.</p> <p>ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS: Submit a completed extra duty form to Principal Kelly Pinho for Mitchell Elementary or Principal Wendy Yatsenick for Bethlehem Elementary School</p> <p>Wendy J.
