<p>As a production supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and talented manufacturing team. Your primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the shift. Your position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting. The Production Supervisor reports to the Director of Operations.</p> <p>Summary of Job duties:</p> <ul> <li>Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results </li><li>Enforces company policies and guidelines </li><li>Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques </li><li>Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time </li><li>Contacts appropriate sources for repair issues </li><li>Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow </li><li>Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees </li><li>Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed </li><li>Evaluates the condition of production equipment </li><li>Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers </li><li>Compiles and analyzes production records. </li><li>Minimize downtime of assembly line by insuring proper set ups. </li><li>Perform Quality audits and complete necessary paperwork on specific units. </li><li>Informing engineering or Quality control of manufacturing problems. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school Diploma required </li><li>Bachelor's Degree preferred </li><li>Previous supervisory experience </li><li>Excellent coaching and communication skills </li><li>Broad knowledge of production planning processes </li><li>Strategic planning skills </li><li>Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation </li><li>Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting </li><li>Ability to work with others in a team environment </li><li>Ability to utilize computers/bar coding to track parts, routings, job orders, employee labor, and attendance etc. </li><li>Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings. </li><li>Must be able to see and hear adequately to respond to auditory and visual requests. </li><li>Must be able to lift 10-25 lbs, bend, stoop, squat, twist, and stand for extended periods of time. </li></ul>
