<p>GENERAL SUMMARY</p> <p>This position will be responsible for integrating and maintaining APIs that support various platforms including internally or externally hosted applications, web, and third-party services. This position will have a key role in ensuring seamless data exchange between internal applications and third-party services with an emphasis on optimizing API performance for reliability and scalability. This position is ideal for a technical professional with hands-on experience integrating off-the-shelf applications and a deep understanding of APIs and middleware platforms, such as MuleSoft, to enable seamless data and system connectivity across the enterprise.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and manage API integrations between third-party/off-the-shelf applications and internal applications using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. </li><li>Build and configure connections to various data sources, internal applications, and cloud-based platforms via APIs. </li><li>Collaborate with front-end users, API owners, and other IT Teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. </li><li>Support lifecycle development including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. </li><li>Monitor API performance, logs, and error handling to ensure system reliability. </li><li>Adhere to the Bank's procedures and ensure development and deployment align to internal Change Management policies. </li><li>Ensure APIs meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards. </li><li>Create technical documentation that provides details on how the systems are in support of business processes and meet audit standards. </li><li>Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and maintainability. </li><li>Learn and apply best practices in API security and authentication. </li><li>Analyze, interpret, and efficiently apply changes to existing code. </li><li>Utilize Azure DevOps for API deployment, version control, and CI/CD support. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>BS / MS in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in API development or systems integration experience required. </li><li>Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager and Exchange. </li><li>Proficient in creating API specifications and documentation using RAML or Swagger/OpenAPI/Postman. </li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines, API versioning, and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Azure DevOps) is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Ability:</p> <ul> <li>The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple integration projects simultaneously. </li><li>Understanding of API security principles and encryption protocols. </li><li>Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) is a plus. </li><li>Ability to follow technical instructions and contribute to documentation. </li><li>Eagerness for learning new tools, technologies, and integration patterns. </li><li>Familiarity with data formats such as JSON and XML. </li><li>Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn. </li><li>A passion for staying on top of technology trends to keep up with emerging technologies. </li><li>Proficiency in software development methodology and release process. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. </li></ul> <p>OTHER DETAILS</p> <p>$36.06 - $42.31 / hour</p> <p>Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.</p> <p>This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.</p>
