Job Description Repair and maintain vehicles and diesel equipment Maintain fleet operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicledeficiencies; adjustments and alignments; keeping accurate records Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the DOT, company and any otherFederal, State, or Local regulations Perform preventive maintenance and repairs such as brakes, air systems, air condition repairs etc. Engine diagnostics using computers Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacture's specifications andlegislated regulations Certification Requirements 1.Must be qualified to inspect and repair brakes under FMCSA regulation 49 CFR §396.25.
