Also, this role plays a key role in driving strong quality practices, leading inspection activities, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence across the project.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Conduct on-site and off-site quality inspections and witness testing activities to verify compliance with project specifications and Inspection & Test Plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor construction progress and workmanship to promptly identify and resolve quality issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Overseeing testing of materials and structures, such as concrete strength tests, soil compaction tests, and other relevant tests.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform inspections on delivered materials and equipment to confirm conformity with approved submittals and quality standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all construction activities follow the specified ITPs, including the identification and execution of hold and witness points.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain, review, and update comprehensive records of inspections, including dates, findings, test results, and corrective actions.</p> </li><li> <p>Document and report any deviations or Non-Conformances in materials, workmanship, or processes to the Quality Lead.</p> </li><li> <p>Verify that corrective actions for identified Non-Conformances are effectively implemented and closed.</p> </li><li> <p>Check and verify the certifications, qualifications, and accreditations of workers, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure alignment with project requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Support field teams with immediate feedback and guidance on quality issues, ensuring swift rectification of minor defects before escalation.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with construction teams to promote best practices for quality assurance and compliance.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Competencies</p> <ul> <li> <p>Have the qualifications demonstrated by certificates of training and experience on transit construction projects.</p> </li><li> <p>In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting project specifications, drawings, and Inspection & Test Plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with quality inspection tools, testing methods, and documentation practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, codes, and construction standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to identify, document, and manage Non-Conformances and corrective actions.</p> </li><li> <p>Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders.</p> </li></ul> <p>ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Canada, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 seal, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
