<p>Job Description</p> <p>The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products in and out of the facility. This role includes managing the team, coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.</p> <p>Duties of Job:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and manage the Shipping & Receiving team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in alignment with company goals. </li><li>Supervise the receipt, documentation, and shipment of materials to maintain accurate inventory records. </li><li>Coordinate with Customer Service and Operations to prioritize shipments and meet deadlines. </li><li>Prepare and review shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, shipping orders) and ensure shipments are packaged correctly and sent on time. </li><li>Oversee transportation logistics, including determining shipping methods, routes, and rates for outgoing materials. </li><li>Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations and promote a safety-first work culture. </li><li>Conduct employee evaluations, provide training, and improve warehouse procedures and workflows. </li><li>Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones, processing invoices, ordering supplies, and handling correspondence. </li><li>Handle hazardous materials, including transport, clean-up, and shipment of hazardous waste as required. </li><li>Collaborate with quality assurance to manage hazardous waste shipping paperwork when needed. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 2 years of leadership experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing operations. </li><li>Proficiency in transportation logistics, including shipping rates and international shipping requirements. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software; basic math skills required. </li><li>Experience in SAP is a plus </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and leadership skills. </li></ul> <p>Ergon Armor is a division of Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions, Inc. which produces and distributes various liquid asphalt products to the coatings and roofing industry.
