<p>Position Summary: The School of Cinema & Media Arts invites applications for Adjunct Faculty to teach courses at the undergraduate level in the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>Beginning Sound Design </li><li>Sound Design </li><li>Audio Mixing </li><li>Sound Editing </li><li>Field/Location recording </li><li>Studio recording </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree, or professional experience in the field of instruction (or related area) preferred, or a demonstrated success in one's craft and significant industry experience will also be considered. </li><li>Need to be able to give feedback on projects that encourage growth and inspire students to try new things. </li><li>The ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>The teaching load will range from 1-9 units per semester. </li><li>Educate from existing syllabi and teach curriculum according to the objectives and outcomes of the department. </li><li>Determine student mastery of material and assign final course grades from evaluation of tests, quizzes, homework, and other assignments and activities related to course material. </li></ul> <p>Department and University Overview:</p> <p>The School of Cinema & Media Arts is Biola University's ninth and newest school.
