<p>Job ID: 114316</p> <p>The Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems business is a trusted provider of innovative naval gas and hybrid power systems, control technology and support solutions for the U.S. Navy and navies around the world.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Leonardo DRS in Menomonee Falls, WI is now hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to work in our world-class engineering facility. Our ideal candidate will have senior-level knowledge of carpentry and facilities maintenance to ensure our equipment is running on all cylinders daily!</p> <p>This is an hourly paid, union represented role working Monday thru Friday from approximately 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. We offer flexible start times.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and/or repair equipment and/or systems within the facility within area of expertise </li><li>Inspect and maintain maintenance equipment including scissor lift, single man lifts, boom lift, utility cars and fork trucks </li><li>Ability to load and unload tractor trailers with the use of overhead cranes and industrial forklifts </li><li>Rigging of large equipment for lifting purposes </li><li>Transport large electrical cabinets using a Traksporter crawler system </li><li>Oversee maintenance schedule to ensure regular and preventive maintenance work assignments are completed when required </li><li>Perform service calls, repairs, and equipment installations </li><li>Knowledge of troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluations, and routine inspections on physical plant systems and equipment as required </li><li>Oversee an inventory of parts and tools, and keep assigned storage areas clean and organized </li><li>Follow company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines in daily work routines and assignments </li><li>Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures </li><li>Complete appropriate paperwork in a proper manner for the purchase, stocking, and/or use of all materials, parts, and components required for work order completion </li><li>Using Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), ensure work orders contain appropriate and accurate information before submitting completed work orders </li><li>Recommends cost savings strategies and techniques that will not compromise quality and individual safety </li><li>Strong carpentry skills needed for construction of engineering and test fixtures </li><li>Strong Facilities skills recommended. Painting, drywall repair, office furniture construction and basic building maintenance. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent + at least 5 years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility </li><li>Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain a variety of tools, equipment, and systems </li><li>Essential skills include problem-solving, reading blueprints, and preventative maintenance </li><li>Additional technical education or certifications or hands-on experience from apprenticeships and on-the-job training is highly preferred </li></ul> <p>U.S. Citizenship required.</p> <p>Taking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
