<p>Description</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Academy Charter School is looking for a highly dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant Instructor who understands and promotes the school's mission, vision, objectives, and policies both within and outside the immediate school community. The Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for leading students toward their goal of becoming a Certified Medical Office Assistant by teaching Medical Assistant courses and preparing students to pass the certification examination.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Teach specified subject(s) in the medical assistant curriculum for students' comprehension. This entails having a strong understanding of the topics and preparing well for lectures. </li><li>Go through the curriculum and make useful suggestions on possible ways to improve on them to foster effective learning. </li><li>Carryout research on topics to identify various insights and angles in the medical assistant field, to make students versatile in discharging their duties on the job. </li><li>Create room for interaction and students' participation in class to x-ray different opinions on a given topic. </li><li>Administer tests and assignments to students to assess their understanding of topics they have taken, as well as to measure the efficiency of the teaching methods adopted </li><li>Participate in meetings and trainings organized by industry associations to equip practitioners with latest trends and practices in the medical assistant field, and transfer acquired knowledge to students. </li><li>Promote the use of technology in teaching, such as ICT facilities and libraries. </li><li>Evaluate students' performances and create effective means of rewarding excelling students, while encouraging those not doing so well, by working with them to improve their academic performances </li><li>Use technology tools for instruction, planning, and communication and ensure student engagement. </li><li>Measure student achievement and progress towards learning objectives using the school's formative and summative assessment tools. </li><li>Evaluate academic achievement through detailed data analysis of student performance on a wide variety of metrics. </li><li>Provide ongoing and timely feedback to students on their progress towards meeting expectations and achieving goals. </li><li>Use student data to reflect on effectiveness of lessons and student achievement progress in order to improve instruction and personal practice. </li></ul> <p>Pay Transparency: The salary range for this role is $62,500 - $ 70,000. This entails leading by example by showing students good traits to emulate. </li></ul>
