<p>Job Description:</p> <p>2025-2026 VACANCY</p> <p>Nurse Supervisor (0.5 FTE)</p> <p>General Qualifications: Registered Nurse, defined in Section 20-87aC.G.S., currently licensed in the State of Connecticut, meeting the qualifications of a school nurse.</p> <p>Reports To: Director of Pupil Services</p> <p>Job Role: The role of the Nurse Supervisor is to promote the consistent implementation of practices relating to the physical. mental health and well- being of all students within the school setting. This person will be the primary liaison to the District Medical Advisor as well as coordinate district wide School Nurse professional development to ensure consistent dissemination of information throughout the district.</p> <p>Specific Qualifications/Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for oversight of nurses at Valley Regional High School, John Winthrop Middle School, Chester Elementary School, Deep River Elementary School, and Essex Elementary School </li><li>Responsible for interviewing new school nurses and substitute nurses </li><li>Responsible for coordination of nursing / building coverage </li><li>Responsible for coordinating sub nurse orientation </li><li>Responsible for facilitating monthly meetings, including developing an agenda and keeping notes </li><li>Responsible for the consistent implementation of health related practices/forms/trainings within the district schools </li><li>Become the district liaison to the District Medical Advisor </li><li>Attend Wellness Committee meetings </li><li>Maintain School Nurse Handbook and District School Nursing webpage </li><li>Ensure compliance with all State and Federal statutes regarding medication storage and / or administration </li><li>Ensure compliance with immunizations as required by law: </li><li>All other relevant duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Start Date: August 25, 2025</p> <p>Application Deadline: Open Until Filled</p> <p>Interested candidates please apply on line at www.reg4.k12.ct.us, (click employment link)</p>
