<p>Reporting to the Student Success Director, the Student Success Professional serves as a senior academic advising leader, playing a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative student success initiatives within the college. This position provides support and assistance to the Student Success Director by coordinating efforts across internal and external stakeholders, representing the Director in their absence, and addressing complex student challenges that require advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills. Working within a dynamic and collaborative environment, the Student Success Professional engages with staff at various levels, student employees, interns, and graduate assistants. Their core responsibilities include guiding freshman, sophomore, and transfer students in navigating academic and career pathways, managing proactive advising systems to support students in transition, and aligning with the college's strategic priorities to enhance retention, progression, and persistence. By spearheading key activities and fostering an environment of continuous improvement, the Student Success Professional ensures that student success remains a central focus of the college's mission</p> <p>Austin Peay State University is a four-year public, doctoral-level university, with six colleges and four Chairs of Excellence.
